OBITUARY NAME: Myrna Marguerite Piazzi, age 73, a Ada resident. BORN: She was born on October 18, 1940, to John and Marguerite (Watkins) Piazzi, at Ada, OK. PASSED AWAY: Myrna passed away on July 11, 2014 at Ada, OK. AGE: 73 years, 8 months and 23 days. EDUCATION: She graduated from Coalgate High School in 1958. She earned her bachelor's degree in Medical Technology from the East Central State College in 1963 where she was a member of the East Central marching band.. OCCUPATION: Myrna worked at the Sugg Clinic in Ada, OK. from 1963-1980. She then became a Senior Technologist for Chemistry at the Carl Albert Indian Hospital where she worked until she retired in 2004. CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Myrna was a member of the Methodist faith. Myrna was heavily involved in the Oklahoma Society for Medical Technology and was the Editor for their newsletter for a number of years. She also assisted in traveling and management seminars. Myrna was an animal lover and always had a least one dog. Her Lhasa Apsos & Shihtzus were loved and spoiled everyday & adored as true life companion, never realizing they were dogs not people. Myrna was a very loving and supportive & espically doted on Michael, Katheryn (whom she called Katy Mae), & Payton. She spent time with them doing a variety of special activities that were distinctly Myrna, from teaching them to play computer games to taking them to the newest Disney or Star Trek movie. These special memories are ones that will never be forgotten and will always be treasured. Myrna was as unique as she was inquisitive. She was a true student of life as was evidenced by many interests. He numerous and varied interests included, but were not limited, to wine & beer making, painting, reading, needlework & cooking gourmet meals. Myrna's true passions included traveling and being a self -taught photographer, taking gorgeous pictures primarily focused on nature shots taken from her favorite place in the world and sanctuary-Coloado. As an avid travler, she traveled not only in the US but also visited Russia & Germany and enjoyed her yearly two week vacations with her family in Colorado at the Little Squaw Resort. There was no one like Myrna. She was a true individual and was deeply loved by her family & friends. She will be sorely missed. Memorials will be accepted at the East Central Foundation directed toward band scholarships.
