Nadine Mowdy

OBITUARY

Emma Nadine Mowdy, age 80, a Coalgate resident, was born on March 27, 1946, to Woodrow Wilson and Wanda Jean (Davidson) Gwinn, at Clarita, OK. Nadine passed away on April 21, 2026 at Durant, OK at the age of 80 years and 25 days. She attended Olney High School. Nadine was a homemaker and did volunteer work with hospice. She married Jesse Alvin Mowdy on January 23, 1962 at Coalgate, they spent 53 wonderful years together before his passing in 2015. Nadine was a faithful member of the Apostolic Jesus Name Church, serving as the treasurer, secretary, and song leader, she also kept the church immaculately clean. Nadine paid special attention to every detail. She enjoyed shopping, fishing, and spending time with friends and family. She was known as the Gospel Karaoke Queen.
