Nancy Jean (Bush) Scott, age 76, moved to Atoka at the age of fifteen and spent the remainder of her life in Atoka, OK. She was born on Saturday, July 21, 1945, to Harvey and Reba (Mooney) Bush, at Ennis, TX. Nancy passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Denison, TX. She received her GED in Ennis, Texas and also attended nursing school in Ennis, Texas. Nancy was a housewife and also worked at the Colonial Manor for several years as a nurses aid. She married Jerry Scott on Friday, September 5th, 2008 at Atoka, Oklahoma. They just celebrated 13 wonderful years in marriage together. Nancy was of the Baptist faith. She was also a longtime member of the Elks Lodge. Nancy loved playing bingo, singing karaoke, dancing, painting and drawing. She would go to Harmony Public School and help with the art classes. Nancy was a very loving woman, especially to her nieces and nephews. Nancy is survived by her husband, Jerry Scott of Atoka, OK; brother, Jacky Bush of Tushka, OK; step-children, Jerry Scott Jr and wife Salena of Coalgate, OK, Terry Tanner of Antlers, OK, Amy Highland of Hugo, OK; brother-in-law, Joe Matous of Texas; sisters-in-law, Mary Bush of Atoka, OK, Joyce Hunt and husband Rickey of Atoka, OK, Bette Price of Coalgate, OK, Ruby Cady of Oklahoma City, OK. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Reba (Mooney) Bush; first husband, Clyde Williams, sisters, Betty Morris, Maybelle Morris, Helen Matous; brother, Kenneth Bush
