Nora Jane (Neal) Howell, a Tupelo resident, was born on February 2, 1931, to William Dennis and Lessie (May) Neal, at Rosedale, Oklahoma. She passed away on July 8, 2024, at Coalgate, Oklahoma, at the age of 93 years, 5 months and 6 days. Jane graduated from Maysville High School in the Class of 1949. She studied Education at East Central University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in 1965 and her Master's Degree in 1975. Jane was a school teacher at Tupelo Public Schools from 1965 to 1988. She married Aikman Albert Howell on October 20, 1950, at Van Buren, Arkansas. They celebrated 64 years together before his passing on July 24, 2015. Jane was a member of the Church of Christ in Tupelo, Oklahoma. She enjoyed sports, especially watching the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys and OU. Jane liked painting, sewing, playing dominoes and any other games. She enjoyed visiting with her loved ones and was known for baking the best pies.

Great Grandchildren: Micah and Jonah Poyzer of Edmond, Oklahoma
Bentley and Peyton Bills of Centrahoma, Oklahoma
Special Nephew: Vincent "Buddy" Neal of Battiest, Oklahoma
Along with numerous nieces, nephews and many former students
