Odis Dean "Sonny" Nichols, age 81, a Lane, OK resident, He was born on Saturday, May 14, 1932, to Ode and Nora (Allmon) Nichols, at Dok Ranch, OK. Sonny passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Oklahoma City, OK. He attended Miller School as a young man then graduated Fairfax High School in 1950. Sonny was a heavy equipment operator. Sonny served his country in the United States Army during Korea Conflict. He married Betty Elizabeth (Wilson) on September 26, 1958 at Lane, OK. Sonny was of the Baptist faith he enjoyed camping, fishing, and deer hunting. Sonny is survived by his wife, Betty Elizabeth Nichols of the home in Lane, OK.; sons, Reggie Nichols and wife Judy of McAlester, OK., Eric Nichols and wife Naomi of Coalgate, OK., Dustin Nichols of Lane, OK.; grandchildren, Tra Nichols of Durant, OK., Laramie Nichols and wife Leslie of Hartshorne, OK., Jodi Nichols of McAlester, OK., Keith Nichols and wife Kristen of Durant, OK., Shane Nichols of Durant, OK., 6 great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear loved friends.
