BORN: She was born on Saturday October 2, 1926 to O.J and Gertrude (Burkhalter) Campbell at Voca Community in Atoka County, OK

PASSED AWAY: Opal passed away on Saturday August 5, 2017 in Durant, OK

EDUCATION: She attended Voca, Coleman, and Tushka schools.

OCCUPATION: Opal, along with her husband Gene owned and operated Smith Texaco in Wapanucka from 1967-1982 and worked 22 years at Southeastern Oklahoma Nutrition Program until retiring at the age of 80.

MARRIED: She married Eugene Smith on December 23, 1944 in Atoka County near the Boggy Bridge. Gene precedes her in death in 1982.

CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Opal was a member of the Assembly of God. Being a wife of a minster, they were involved in many churches, but always called the Wapanucka Church her home. She loved playing softball and loved her grandchildren and attending their sport activities.

SON: Julious D. "J.D" Smith and wife Gaylene of Wapanucka, OK

GRANDCHILDREN:  Jeremy C. Smith and wife Kendle (Curry) of Wapanucka, OK

Jonathan E. Smith and wife Sarah (Klaudt) of Kenefic, OK

GREAT GRANDCHILDREN:   Mazie McGaugh, Tallie Mae Smith, Kase G. Smith and Kole M. Smith

GRANDDAUGHTER-IN-LAW:  Jamie McGaugh of Coalgate, OK

Along with other relatives and many close, dear loved friends.
