Oren Morice Cochran, age 89, an Ada, OK resident. He was born on Friday, January 18, 1935, to James Alonzo and Lela Mae (Green) Cochran, at Atoka, OK. Oren passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024 at Ada, OK. He attended Harmony Elementary School and then later attended Atoka Public Schools where he graduated with the Class of '53. Oren was a Businessman and a Cattle Rancher. He owned the Atoka Livestock Auction for 17 years. Prior to that, he was a service station owner, owned Atoka Oil Company, and owned Cochran Propane for many years. Oren proudly served his country in the Oklahoma National Guard for 13 years. He married Uelala (McKinzie) on Saturday, November 10th, 1956 at Atoka, Oklahoma. Oren was a long time member of the Atoka First Pentecostal Holiness Church. He then attended the Atoka First Assembly of God, and then later attended Southside Baptist Church. Oren was a member of the Gideons and distributed many Bibles. He liked fishing, raising cattle, and deer hunting. He loved spending time with his friends and family, OKC Thunder Basketball, OU Football, and playing dominoes.
Oren is survived by his wife, Uelala Cochran of the home; son, Stan Cochran and wife Renae of Ada, OK; grandson, Luke Graves of Mustang, OK; granddaughter, Hannah Rowland and husband Dusty of Ada, OK; great grandkids, Livvy Rowland and Molly Rowland of Ada, OK; son in love, Kenny Graces and wife Lavonna of Asher, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved. Special thanks to Kyrie Assisted Living Staff, Centric Home Health, and Centric Hospice.
Oren was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lela Mae (Green) Cochran; daughter, Connie Graves and husband Troy; brothers, Monroe Cochran, Elmer Lee Cochran; sister, Elnora Finley.
