Patricia Ann Himes, age 79, a longtime Atoka, OK resident. She was born on Monday, February 18, 1946, to Rufus Allen and Elizabeth Francis (Cooksey) Couch, at Lexington, OK. Patricia passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025 at her home in Coleman, OK. She graduated from Capital Hill High School in Oklahoma City, OK in 1964. Patricia was a housewife and homemaker. She married Michael David Himes Sr. on Saturday, October 18th, 1969 at Oklahoma City, OK. They celebrated over 56 years together. Patricia was a longtime member of the General Assembly Church of the First Born. She enjoyed working in the garden, sewing, making halloween costumes, reading her Bible everyday and listening to the audio tapes of it. Patricia enjoyed walking down her neighborhood, sitting on the porch and spending time with her dogs, loved sitting in the sun, either in the sunroom or outside and loved going to all the grandchildren's events.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Michael David Himes Sr. of the home in Coleman, OK; children, Stacey Himes of Melissa, TX, Michael Himes Jr. and wife Akiko of Melissa, TX, Della Spradlin and husband Robert of Atoka, OK, Alyssa Gossett and husband Clay of Caney, OK; grandchildren, Jenna Miller and husband Jason of Atoka, OK, Samuel Richard and Maddie Jeffries of Ardmore, OK, Jodi Richard of Melissa, TX, Cassidy Wilson and husband Jimmy of Mead, OK, Jacob Spradlin and wife Ryan of Stillwater, OK, Madison Thompson and husband Jacob of Mead, OK, Parker Spradlin of Atoka, OK, Kirsten Gossett and Robert Henderson of Lane, OK, Phillip Gossett of Caney, OK, Hagyn Gossett of Caney, OK, Tucker Gossett of Caney, OK, Ethen Gossett of Caney, OK, Newt Gossett of Caney, OK, Aaron Himes of Melissa, TX, Liam Himes of Melissa, TX; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Geary Couch and wife Becky of Taylor, TX; sister, Cheryl Campbell-Wyatt and husband Richard of Oklahoma City, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus Allen and Elizabeth Francis Couch; son, Samuel Himes; brother, Lawrence Couch; sisters, Virginia Teel, Mary McAfee, Vennita Jones, Linda Davis.
