Patricia Ann Rector, age 64, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident. She was born on Tuesday, May 23, 1961, to Thomas "Lloyd" and Lillian "Leona" (Hanson) Fortenberry, in Atoka, OK the youngest of 12 children. Pat passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Plano, TX. She graduated from Atoka High School with the class of 1979 and then went on to attend SOSU where she received a Bachelor's Degree. Pat was a housewife and homemaker.  She married Stephen Lewis Rector on December 16, 1985 in Paris, TX. They had two beautiful girls together, her pride and joy. Pat grew up in the Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed making flowers for anybody, collecting rocks, treasure hunting, taking care of her dogs, tending to her flowerbeds and going yardsaling.
Pat is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Brooke Wilson and husband Michael of Atoka, OK, Valerie Dawn Whisenhunt and husband Andrew of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, Jesse Wilson of Atoka, OK, Ali Wilson of Atoka, OK, Malerie Whisenhunt of Atoka, OK, Adam Whisenhunt of Atoka, Shelby Whisenhunt of Atoka, OK; brothers, Dale Fortenberry of Burlington, KS, Bobby Fortenberry and wife Faye of Grand Terrance, CA, Curtis Fortenberry of Choctaw, OK, Vernon "Bulldog" Fortenberry of Atoka, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Leona (Hanson) Fortenberry; father of her children, Steve Rector; siblings, Winnie Donihoo and husband JC, Marlene Gabriel and husband Josh, Thomas Fortenberry, Alva Fortenberry, Victor Fortenberry, Kenneth Fortenberry, Delbert Fortenberry; in laws, Lee and Vera Rector.
