Patricia Ann VanZandt-Clark, age 85, an Atoka, OK resident. She was born on Friday, November 10, 1939, to Alva Irwin and Margorie Jane (Hotchkiss) Cox, at Aberdeen, WA. Patricia passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Atoka, OK. She attended Evergreen High School in Vancouver, Washington where she graduated with the Class of '58. Patricia then went on to attend Nursing school at Washington State College. Patricia was a nurse at Cannaday's Nursing Home, Atoka Manor, and the Atoka County Hospital. She was a motel manager and apartment manager with her husband Robert. She married Robert Lewis VanZandt on October 12th, 1965 at Hollywood, California; they cherished 40 years of marriage together before his passing. Patricia later married Roy Clark on September 11, 2008 at Atoka, Oklahoma; they enjoyed 5 years of marriage together before his passing. Patricia was a longtime member of the Fellowship Church. She enjoyed crafting, flowers, fishing, decorating for weddings and birthdays, and ANYTHING leopard print. She loved her grandkids and any other babies around as well as seeing people praying for other people.
Patricia is survived by her children, Vickie Lynn Sears of Atoka, OK, Donna Rae Merritt of Atoka, OK; grandkids, Michael Goode and wife Theresa Summers, Darrell Hendricks and wife Caily Mendez, Justin Hendricks and wife Gabrielle McNeely-Langston, Nichole Merritt, Hannah Merritt; great grandkids, Sherylyn Adkins of AK, Charlie Goode of TX, Avary Hendricks of Atoka, OK, Carter Hendricks of Atoka, OK, Harper Hendricks of WA, Xoe Thacker of OK, Jay Thacker of OK; siblings, Linda Thompson of WA; foster children, Jeff Anderson and wife Nancy of Vancouver, WA, Larry Lundstrom and wife Regina Kennewick of WA; bonus children, Richard Clark and wife Evelyn of AR, Judy Pharr and husband Kenny of TX, Janette Hyde and husband Bill of TX, Heather Clark of TX, Carrie Fisher of TX; special friends, Margaret Knight of TX, Ronda Burleson of OK, Sharon Smith of OK; along with many nieces, nephews, and lots of spiritual friends
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Alva Irwin and Margorie Jane (Hotchkiss) Cox; brother, Phillip Roy Cox; husbands, Robert VanZandt, Roy Clark; bonus son, Bill Clark; foster children, Jimmy Anderson, Cheryl Pittman, Ron Blum, Donna Hensarling; special friend, Dora Lee Moore
