Obituary

Peggy June (Emmons) Hogan, age 85, a longtime Bentley, OK resident, was born on Wednesday, April 3, 1935, to James and Azuba (Mahana) Emmons, at Sayre, OK. Peggy passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at her home in Bentley, OK.
She graduated High School. Peggy was a cook for many years for Bentley and Harmony Schools. She married Herbert James Hogan on Monday, January 4th, 1954 at Durant, OK, he preceded her in death on October 26, 2012. They celebrated 58 years of marriage before his passing. Peggy was a member of Bentley Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning, making fried pies and baking red velvet cakes. Peggy loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Peggy is survived by her children, Larry James Hogan and wife Connie of Bentley, OK, Ricky Paul Hogan and wife Cindy of Bentley, OK, Sarilea Combs of Atoka, OK, Johnny Hogan of Bentley, OK,  Rebecca Breeden and husband Kenneth "Peewee" of Atoka, OK, Melissa Rogers and husband Moe of Kingston, OK; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Emmons and wife Mary of Tom Bean, TX; sister in law, Leatha Emmons of Blanchard, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Azuba (Mahana) Emmons; husband, Herbert James Hogan; grandson, Matthew Hogan; son in law, Larry Combs; brothers, Ray Emmons, Boyce Emmons; sister, Jackie Owen.
