Phil Lee Brooks, age 57, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident. He was born on Saturday, September 18, 1965, to Leonard Adell and Nadine Louella (Brooks) Brooks, at Coalgate, OK. Phil passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Denison, TX. He attended Dunbar, Mamie Johnson and Atoka High School. Phil worked for Pruitt Oil and Big 5. He married Terry Lynn (Ross) on Tuesday, December 25th, 2001 at Atoka, OK. They celebrated 21 happy years together before his passing. Phil was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the casinos, lifting weights, watching professional wrestling, and especially being with his grandchildren.
Phil is survived by his wife, Terry Lynn Brooks of the home in Atoka, OK; children, Mandy Elliott and husband Dawson of Tushka, OK and their children, Travie Elliott, Hayden Elliott, Willow Elliott, Ziggy Elliott, Cuba Ainsworth and her children, Ava Gibson, Atlanta Gibson, Jax Gibson; sisters, Blanche Brooms, Lena Riley, Rose Gage, all of Atoka, OK; brothers, Larry Brooks, Willie Brooks, both of Atoka, OK; brother in law, Johnny Ross and wife Peggy of Caney, OK; sisters in law, Tammy Langston of California, Hazel Fry and husband Russell of California; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Nadine Louella (Brooks) Brooks; brothers, David Brooks, Adell Brooks, Eugene Brooks, Tony Brooks, Leonard herman Brooks; grandparents, Henry Penny and Blanche Greenwood, Moses and Lettie Brooks.
