Obituary

Philip 'Flip' Bland Miller, age 70, a Stringtown, OK resident, was born on Tuesday, April 21, 1953, to Frank Cody and Noweta (Jackson) Miller, at Phoenix, AZ. Philip passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Stringtown, OK. He graduated with the Atoka Class of 1971 and attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Philip was a Restauranteur. Philip proudly served his country in The 1180th Infantry 45th Division of The National Guard.He married Marcia Elaine (Powell) on Saturday, November 14th, 1981 at Atoka First Baptist Church. Philip had professed his unwavering faith in Jesus.  He was a steer roper, pilot, builder, artist,  musician, and a wine connoisseur. He loved to scuba dive and travel.
Philip is survived by his wife, Marcia Elaine Miller of the home in Stringtown, OK; children, Stephanie Miller of Atoka, OK, Dakota Miller-Wheeler and husband Ryan of Atoka, OK,
Kelsi Frost and husband Stetson of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, Harrison Cody Frost, Hudson Blake Frost, Katelyn Harper Frost; siblings, Mike Miller and wife Cleta of Atoka, OK, Colette Harper and husband Dr. Ben of
Stringtown, OK; along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews; special acknowledgements, Delores Prater, Gayla and Becky Cole, Ronda Holstine, and the entire El Adobe family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Cody and Noweta (Jackson) Miller; brother, Johnny Miller
