OBITUARY

Phyllis Ann (Weage) Flowers, age 87, a Scurry, TX resident was born on Thursday, July 13, 1939, to Rex Bryant Weage and Pearl Lenora (Vodry) Weage, at Coldwater, MI and passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Scurry, TX.

Phyllis graduated Sunset High School in Dallas and later attended Community College taking different courses that interested her. She worked at a grocery store as well as an insurance company before she became a dispatcher and did paperwork for Mini-Crete which her and her husband Dude owned in Grand Prairie. After retirement her job was full time memaw and later great memaw/bemaw

Phyllis married W.E. "Dude" Flowers on Wednesday, June 18th, 1958 in her parents living room in Dallas, Tx, and they celebrated 57 years together before his passing on September 6th 2015.

Phyllis was of the Methodist faith and attended cowboy church. She liked to cook almost as much as she liked collecting cook books. She loved a good deal and enjoyed garage sales, and browsing Facebook Marketplace. She enjoyed planting herbs, tomatoes, and sometimes peppers, but they were often too spicy to eat. She cherished her grandkids and her great grandkids and considered them her main job. She loved spoiling them and sending them home full of sugar. She was very good at whistling and could often be heard whistling a song. She loved all her fur babies and always had dogs, goats and other animals. She was a history buff and loved reading and studying it.

Phyllis is survived by daughters Susan Flowers-Wilson of Grand Prairie, TX, Sandra Flowers Pack of Scurry, TX; son Michael Flowers and wife Noelle of Dallas, TX; grand children Clint Flowers and wife Molly, Amanda Palacios and husband Misael, Morgan Flowers and partner Mago Sifuentes, Jonathan Baker and partner Jess Pettigrew, Brandon Wilson, Amber Porter and husband Ryan, Kimberly Colwill and husband Blake, Marcus Pack, Chris Phillips and wife Kim, Michael Murphy; Honorary grandkids Chad Slayton, Autumus Mitchell, Bull Fahle and Joshua "JP"; great grandchildren Levi Saint Claire, Kaydyn Baker, Emma Miller, Edward Colwill, Bryce Flowers, Brayden Flowers, Colt Flowers, Clara Palacios, Noah Palacios, Aziel Sifuenteds, Elimar Sifuentes, Cannon Pack, Liam Phillips, Aiden Phillips, Dylan Murphy, Deacon Murphy and Hunter Murphy; brother Robert Weage of Waxahachie, TX; and fur babies June Bug, Kassie, Little Man and Cricket

Phyllis is preceded in death by parents Rex Bryant Weage and Pearl Lenora (Vodry) Weage and husband W.E. "Dude" Flowers
