Phyllis Kay (Nelson) Harter, age 59, a Mill Creek, OK resident. She was born on Wednesday, March 18, 1964, to Robert Nowabbi, and Ester Mae Nelson at Atoka, OK. Phyllis passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024 at Sulphur, OK in a tragic automobile accident. She attended Murray College where she received an Associate's Degree. Phyllis was a housekeeper for Chickasaw Nation. She married Randy Harter on Wednesday, June 24th, 1992 at Tishomingo, OK. They celebrated 15 years of marriage before his passing on June 4, 2007. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her family.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Kevin Leigh Nelson; daughter, Treva Kay Harter; brothers, Charlie Nowabbi, Larry Nelson, David Fox and wife Paula, William Smith; sisters, Sara Nowabbi Sherrill and husband Joe, Sharon Parrott, Delores Walker, Karen Smith; grandchildren, Kadi Nelson, Kaelyn Lee Campbell, Aphrodite Elyse Riley Braumann, Cayden Louis Campbell, Colette Sydney Campbell, Mason Leigh Campbell; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her granddaughters, Callie Faith Townsend Nelson, Ceanna Jane Nelson; parents, Robert Nowabbi and Ester Mae Nelson; husband, Randy Harter; siblings, Robert Greenwood Nelson, Linda Lou Nowabbi, Lily Walker, James Nowabbi.
