Darlene McAuliffe

Phyllis "Darlene" McAuliffe, age 70, an Atoka, OK resident. She was born on Tuesday, September 20, 1955, to Opal Jack and Thelma Louise (Dunkerson) Ornsby, at Bend, OR. Darlene passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at Plano, TX. She attended several schools in Clayton and then went to work and later went back and received her GED. Darlene was a CMA and worked with her mother at the nursing home, was a cashier at numerous stores. She was a worker and always stayed busy and had a job. She grew up in the Nazarene faith and was a Christian. Darlene had Bible study groups with her friends. She liked fishing, swimming, reading, was a very avid reader, loved her dogs and animals, cooking, trying out new recipes. Her caregivers were very special to her and she loved people.

Darlene is survived by her sister, Sandra Ornsby of Thermopolis, WY; brother, Floyd Ornsby of Thermopolis, WY; cousins, Walter Dunkerson and wife Dianne (special friend) of Atoka, OK, Curtis Dunkerson, John Dunkerson

along with numerous cousins, extended family and dearly loved friends.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Opal Jack and Thelma Louise (Dunkerson) Ornsby; brother, Jimmy Ornsby; sister, Shirley Ornsby; nephew, Robert Leroy.
