OBITUARY NAME: Quincey A. Crews, "Muggs", age 85, a longtime Lane area resident BORN: September 26, 1924 at Haywood, Ok to Quincey A. Crews, Sr. and Nancy Launa (Vernon) Crews PASSED AWAY: Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Norman Veterans Center after an 18 year battle with Alzeheimers. AGE 85 YEARS 6 MONTHS AND 22 DAYS EDUCATION: He attended school in Coal County. MARRIED: Muggs married Louise Thompson on January 3, 1953 at Ashdown, Ar OCCUPATION: He was a logger and rancher all his life. CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES, AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Muggs was a member of Lane Baptist Church. After serving in the military in Europe, Muggs returned to the States. He went to work as a chopper at Camp 20 near Ft. Bragg, Ca. Muggs and his brother jack worked as a crosscut team in cutting the giant redwoods, one of the largest being 15 ft. in diameter. SURVIVED BY: Wife: Louise Crews of the home in Lane Daughters: Quinna Lewis and husband Jerry of Durant, Ok Blossom Crews of Norman, Ok Kelli Gaston and husband Scott of Moore, Ok Son: Arthur Crews and wife Tina of Lane, Ok Brother: Jack Crews of Lane, Ok Grandchildren: Britt Lewis and wife Edna of Durant, Ok Jon Lewis and wife Lori of Broken Arrow, Ok Sham Crews and wife Amy of Lane, Ok Millie Shaw and husband Jeff of Dallas, Tx Megan Hamm and husband Joe of Cleveland, Oh Seth Crews and wife Mallory of Lane, Ok Eddison Batchelor of Norman, Ok Nathaniel Gaston of Moore, Ok Ava Gaston of Moore, Ok Great Grandchildren: Jonathan Lewis of Durant, Ok Joshua Lewis of Durant, Ok Journey Lewis of Durant, Ok Kord Crews of Lane, Ok Dace Crews of Lane, Ok Stihl Crews of Lane, Ok Olivia Shaw of Dallas, Tx Great Great Grandson on the way: Augustus Quincey Crews of Lane, Ok Along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
