OBITUARY Ralph Dwight Fugate, age 81, a life time resident of Atoka County, OK. Ralph lived many years in the Greasy Bend area near Stringtown He was born on October 7, 1930 at Atoka to Reuel Edwin and Viva Siloma (Armstrong) Fugate Ralph passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the Atoka County Medical Center AGE: 81 years, 7 months and 19 days. Ralph attended and graduated from Stringtown Schools in 1948 Ralph was a lumberman and co-owner and operator of the Fugate Sawmill many years. Ralph was also a Rancher and cattleman and commercial hay baling and sales. He married Anna Grace Jurkow on Oct. 3, 1953 in New York City, N.Y. Ralph was a Church of Christ and attended Penn and A Congregation many years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and completed his military career and retired from the Oklahoma National Guard. Ralph received Good Conduct Ribbon, Oklahoma Guardsman Medal and Oklahoma Commendation Medal. Ralph was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt camp and ride his 4 wheelers and was a pilot and owned numerous aircraft through the years. He loved to fly and help with the Hot Air Balloon and their latest project a helicopter that he, Terry and Charlie Bonner was just about to take its maiden flight. Ralph was an accomplished and self taught musician. He played the fiddle, guitar and mandolin. SURVIVED BY Wife: Ann of the home Children: Gary Scott Fugate and wife Rose of Shawnee, Ok. Terry Lynn Fugate and wife Bee of Honolula, Hi. Russell Ambrose Fugate and wife Robbin of Atoka Mark Christopher Fugate of Haines City, FL. Grandchildren: Jennifer Kristin Fugate, Kasondra Marie Fugate, Mercedes Lynnette Fugate, Thomas Dwight Fugate and Sydney Leigh Fugate all of Atoka Kyra Angel Fugate and Christopher Hunter Fugate both of Haines City, Fl. Sisters: Wanda DeBorde of Gainsville, Tx. Wilma Magby of Stringtown Winona Faye Fugate of Stigler, Ok.
