Ralph Dale Mobbs

Funeral services for Ralph Dale Mobbs, age 74 years, a lifelong resident of Bentley, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel in Atoka with Dale Jenkins and Ryan Carroll officiating.

Burial will be in Bentley Cemetery in Bentley. Services are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service in Atoka.

Mobbs died on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Atoka.

He was born on Friday, December 24, 1943, to Ralph and Evelyn Susie (Childs) Mobbs, at Bentley. Mobbs attended Allison, Bentley and graduated from Atoka High School in 1962.

He married Brenda Banks (Armstrong) in 2004 in Blackjack.

Mobbs operated an escort business for 10-plus years and was also a longtime farmer and rancher.

He was affiliated with New Hope Baptist Church.

He loved fishing, hunting, playing games and farming. Mobbs enjoyed spending time and teaching his grandchildren the way of life and how to hunt.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Mobbs, whom he has loved and cherished since 2001, of the home in Atoka; children, Dale Lynn Mobbs and wife, Margo, of Luella, Texas; David Glen Mobbs and wife, Donna, of Crystal; Amanda Johnson and husband, Anthony; Amy Ridgeway and husband, Cody; and Otah Armstrong and wife, Jeana, all of Caney; grandchildren, Chris Mobbs and wife, Amber; Cody Mobbs and wife, Courtney; and Cheyenne Mobbs, all of Luella, Texas; Stuart Mobbs and Steven Mobbs, both of Crystal; Natalie Johnson and fiancé, Garrett Samis, of Caney; Nathan Henderson and wife, Kayle, of Atoka; Dalton Johnson of Caney; Nickolie Henderson and Nick Henderson, both of Bentley; Trever Armstrong, Bryson Armstrong and Rylee Armstrong, all of Caney; great-grandchildren, Avery, Elaina, Chevi, Emri and baby Samis on the way; brothers, Fred Mobbs and wife, Jean, of Durant; Ray Mobbs and wife, Melba; Roy Mobbs and wife, Shirley, all of Bentley; Randy Mobbs and wife, Linda, of Oktaha; sister, Freda Leuty and husband, Hershell, of Bentley; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Ralph and Evelyn Susie (Childs) Mobbs; a son, James Russell Mobbs; a grandson, Joshua Joe Mobbs; a granddaughter, Christin Mobbs; and a nephew, Michael Mobbs.

Honorary pallbearers are Rick Hogan, Cindy Hogan, Roger Eldridge, Dennies Eldridge, Danial Hogan and Fred Lowrey.

Pallbearers are Leonard Henderson, Thomas Danderson, Chance Mobbs, Wes Mobbs, Clint Nowlin and Fred Mobbs Jr.

Family night will be Wednesday, February 7, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Service in Atoka.
