Ramon Lee Young, age 85, an Idabel, OK resident, formerly a resident of Mabank, TX for a number of years, Tishomingo, OK and Midwest City, OK. He was born on Sunday, July 23, 1939, to Walter Lee and Hattie Irene (Morris) Young, at Wheeler, TX. Ramon passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025 at Idabel, OK. He graduated from high school in Eunice, NM in 1958. Ramon was a house painter. He was a member of a Baptist Church in Texas and was a devout Christian. He enjoyed playing football and baseball in high school. Ramon enjoyed fishing, woodworking and loved working with the homeless.
Ramon is survived by his daughter, Jacque Suzette (Young) Christopher and husband Curtis of Texas; siblings, Dale Young and wife Sharon of Idabel, OK, Carmen Young McCreary of Teague, TX; grandchildren, Dana Sutton of Texas, Jessica Campbell of Texas, Steven Young of Texas, Jesse Young of Texas; great grandchildren, Madilyn Campbell of Texas, Trynton Felty of Texas, Joseph Sutton of Texas, Joshua Sutton of Texas, Jakob Sutton of Texas, Conor Young of Texas, Olivia Young of Texas; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Ramon was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Hattie Irene Young; sons, Jackie Ray Young, Duane Lynn Young.
