Ramona Roberts Ragsdale, age 88, a Lane, OK resident. She was born on Tuesday, May 26, 1936, to Joe Carter and Hallie (Clark) Davis, at Crystal, OK. Ramona passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Antlers, OK. She attended Crystal Grade School and then attended and graduated from Atoka High School with the Class of 1954. Ramona worked more than 30 years for Safeway New Homeland Foods as a clerk and retired from there in 1998. She married Marland K. Sheffield in 1954 at Ft. Bragg, CA, he preceded her in death. Ramona then married Raymond W. Roberts in 1963 at Crystal, OK, he also preceded her in death. She later married Willie C. Ragsdale in 2005 at Crystal, OK. Ramona was a member of the Crystal Baptist Church and was the choir director. She was active with the Boeler Community Center and cooked for them as well. Ramona loved reading and playing canasta and gin rummy. She liked taking care of the cemetery and graves. Ramona liked visiting with people, doing genealogy, and traveling.
Ramona is survived by her husband, Willie C. Ragsdale of the home in Crystal, OK; daughters, Jeannine Freeman and husband Mark of Crystal, OK, Mona Sue Ashcraft of Memphis, TN, Colinda Raylene Jefferson and husband Rob of Plano, TX; stepchildren, Craig Ragsdale and wife Angelia of Lavon, TX, Mark Ragsdale and wife Pam of Garland, TX; grandkids, Ryan Ashbee of Memphis, TN, Collin Jefferson of Ft. Worth, TX, Patrick Ashcraft and wife Eula of Memphis, TN, Michael Garland and wife Stephanie of Oklahoma City, OK, Keetha Podest of Moore, OK, David Garland of Oklahoma City, OK; step grandkids, Lance, Dustin, Pamela, Chris, Alyssa, Meghan; great grandkids, Jordan and Jaxson of Oklahoma City, OK, Kayla of Oklahoma City, OK, Bennett and Redford of Memphis, TN, Oliver of Ft. Worth, TX; sister, Billie Shackelford of Sedalia, MO; special friends, Janis Isbell of Crystal, OK, Judy Maggard of Crystal, OK; nephews, Glenn Cook and wife DeeDee of Crystal, OK, Biff Shackelford of Sedalia, MO; nieces, Hallie Ann Smith and husband Ed of Frisco, TX, Lois Leonard and husband Barry of Arapahoe, OK, Carol Woosley and husband TJ of Seattle, WA, Donna Cook of Crystal, OK; along with numerous other extended family and many dear and loved friends.
Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Hallie (Clark) Davis; husbands, Marland Sheffield, Raymond Roberts; sister, Suzanne Cook and husband Jelly Cook; nephew, Carter Cook; granddaughter, Miranda Ragsdale.
