OBITUARY

NAME: William "Randy" Harris, age 66, a longtime Stringtown, OK resident.

BORN: He was born on Monday, June 4, 1951, to Fletcher "Buster" Ray Jr. and Margaret Lorene (Pedigo) Harris, at Durant, OK.

PASSED AWAY: Randy passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Broken Arrow, OK.

AGE:  66 years and 4 months.

EDUCATION: He attended elementary school at Daisy and graduated from Stringtown High School. He then attended college at Eastern Oklahoma State College and Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

OCCUPATION:  Randy worked for Oklahoma Career Tech within the Department of Corrections for 38 years while also serving 20 years for the fire department where he was a charter member. Randy was the first fire chief for Stringtown Volunteer Fire Department and was a owner/partner of Tapley Forestry.

MARRIED: He married Patricia Ann (Holstine) on Saturday, August 15th, 1970 at Durant, OK. They were happily married for 47 years.

CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Randy was a member of McGee Valley Baptist Church. He enjoyed deer camping, working, working on boats and motors, enjoyed morning visits with the "Old Man's Club" at Choctaw Travel Plaza in Stringtown, and playing moon.

DAUGHTER: Mandy Tapley and husband Joe of Stringtown, OK

DAUGHTER IN LAW: Ashley Harris of Atoka, OK

GRANDCHILDREN:  Koby Harris and fianc é Hailey Pulchny of Stringtown, OK

Kale Harris of Atoka, OK

Ella Tapley of Stringtown, OK

Axton Tapley of Stringtown, OK

FATHER:  Fletcher "Buster" Ray Jr. Harris of Daisy, OK

SISTER:  Raylene Burleson and husband Gerry of Sherman, TX

along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
