Obituary

Ray Walton, age 87, an Atoka, OK resident, was born on Wednesday, January 9, 1935, to Charles and Ethel (Rush) Walton, at Gillis Bluff County, Quinlan, MO. Ray passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Denison, TX. He attended Mark Twain Elementary School and graduated from Poplar Bluff High School. Ray was the head auto mechanic for Montgomery Ward. Ray proudly served his country in The United States Army during the Korean War. Ray enjoyed fishing, gardening, taking care of his yard and riding the mower (his horse).
Ray is survived by his stepdaughter, Linda W Carey of Safety Harbor, FL; son-in-law, Michael Carey of Safety Harbor, FL; grandchildren, Danielle J. Carey of Clearwater, FL, Jilliann S. Carey of Clearwater, FL; stepdaughter, Lori Westerby of Ardmore, OK; grandchildren, Erin J. Krueckemeier of Vacaville, CA, Michael Shelton of Napa, CA, Christopher Vandershoot of Oklahoma.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ethel (Rush) Walton; wife, Norma Jeanne (Privett) Walton.
