Raymond Mose Cooper, age 70, a lifelong Atoka County, OK resident. He was born on Saturday, April 17, 1954, to Mose Simpson and Lorena Mae (Scott) Cooper, at Talihina, OK. Raymond passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Atoka, OK. He attended Stringtown Public School. Raymond was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver for OKDOT around 20 years and worked in logging with Kenny Daniels. He served his country in the US Army. He married Lillie Nowabbi in Atoka, she preceded him in death and he later married Consetta (Leflore) on Saturday, October 1st, 2022 at Durant, OK. Raymond attended Coal Creek Presbyterian Church. He enjoying riding around, driving slow, cooking, fishing and loved visiting with his kids and grandkids.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Consetta Cooper of the home in Atoka, OK; children, Priscilla Latham and husband Berry of Atoka, OK, Lorena Baker and husband Jimmy of Poteau, OK, Raymond Cooper Jr. of Ada, OK, Michael Cooper of Tulsa, OK; step children, Shawna Manion and husband Justin of Wardville, OK, Liliana Leflore of Atoka, OK, Quenton Leflore of Atoka, OK; siblings, Nelson Cooper of Choctaw, OK, Mary Lou Leflore of Stringtown, OK, Linda Johnson and husband Jim of Tushka, OK, Franklin Cooper of Savanna, OK, Johnny Cooper and wife Jane of Stringtown, OK, Sampson Cooper of Atoka, OK; half brother, Toney Robison of Moody, TX; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Mose Simpson and Lorena Mae (Scott) Cooper; first wife, Lillie (Nowabbi) Cooper; brothers, Roland Cooper, Moses Cooper; son, Robert Cooper; sisters in law, Carolyn Cooper, Lola Robison; son in law, Jeffery Wolfe.
