Raymond Douglas Dyson, age 79, a longtime Norman, OK resident, was born on Friday, July 17, 1942, to W C and Margaret (Lamprecht) Dyson, at Oklahoma City, OK. Raymond passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 at his home in Norman, OK. He attended Norman High School. Raymond was a Maintenance Supervisor for the Air Force. Raymond proudly served his country in The Air Force. He guided his grandson Chris and great grandson Skyler into the Air Force and was so proud of them. He retired in 1994 as a Senior Master Sergeant. He married Loretta June (Callicoat) on Thursday, December 31st, 1970 at Oklahoma City, OK. They celebrated 42 years of marriage before her passing on November 1, 2012. Raymond was a man of God. He enjoyed fishing, computers, loved watching movies on tv, hunting, OU Football, traveling, dancing and most of all, spending time with his family.
Raymond is survived by his sister, Gail Topping and husband Clyde of Shawnee, OK; daughter, Holly Fontenot and husband Ted of Longview, TX; grandchildren, Jordan Powers of Norman, OK, MSgt Christopher Powers and wife Catherine of Cheyenne, WY, Krista Price and husband Tim of Longview, TX, Natalie Vences and husband Diego of Longview, TX, Lexie Garner and husband Tanner of Marshall, TX, Hunter Everett of Cottonport, LA; great grandchildren, Airman Skyler Campbell and wife Estefania of San Antonio, TX, Cassidy Powers of Cheyenne, WY, Coleton Powers of Cheyenne, WY, Liam Price of Longview, TX, Landon Vences of Longview, TX, Liliana Vences of Longview, TX, Kylie Garner of Longview, TX, Emma Garner of Longview, TX; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Raymond was preceded in death by his father, W C Dyson; mother, Margaret (Lamprecht) Woods; wife, Loretta June Dyson; brother, Larry Dyson; sons, Monte Powers, Matthew Powers; grandson, Baby Boy Powers; great grandson, Grizzly Akerman.
