Rebecca Janae Lyon, age 50, of Durant, formerly an Atoka resident for 13 years, was born on Tuesday, March 19, 1963, to Frank and Ada Pearl (Buie) Lyon, at Pittsburg, CA. Rebecca passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Oklahoma City, OK. She attended school in California. Rebecca was a homemaker. She attended Full Gospel Church in Wapanucka. Even though Rebecca was handicapped since birth it never stopped her from being an outgoing and loving person to whomever she met. She always had the most positive outlook on life and loved to visit with anyone she came in contact with. She collected Mickey Mouse and Elvis Presley memorabilia. She was never one to let her handicap drag her down, her nurses at Four Seasons, Intergris Southwest and Kindred all loved her dearly and stated several times they wished all their patients had the same out look on life as Rebecca did and were very sadden to hear of her passing. Rebecca is survived by her mother, Ada Pearl (Buie) Lyon; aunts and uncles, Bonnie Lyon of Antioch, CA., Betty Ann Williams of Atoka, OK., Wanda Harper of Oklahoma City, OK., Claude Buie and wife Teri of Atoka, OK., Don Buie of Oklahoma City, OK., James Buie and wife Thelma of Delta, CO.; special cousin, Wilma Cox of Atoka, OK.; along with numerous other cousins, other relatives, and many dear and loved friends.
