OBITUARY

Richard James Blalock, a Coalgate resident, was born on March 18, 1967, to S.L. and Donna June (Veach) Blalock, at Ardmore, Oklahoma. He passed away on September 4, 2025, at his home in Coalgate, Oklahoma, at the age of 58 years, 5 months and 17 days. Richard graduated from Mill Creek High School with the Class of 1985. He worked as a water transfer consultant in the oilfield for 20 years and was also a rancher. Richard married Christian LeAnne Sells on July 18, 1998, at Pine, Oklahoma. They celebrated 27 years together. Richard was known as the Mayor of Pine. He enjoyed riding and training horses and gathering cattle. Richard also enjoyed spending time with his pride and joy granddaughter, Elsie LeAnn Lloyd.
