OBITUARY
NAME: Richard Earl Brown, age 96, an Atoka, OK resident the past 3 years, coming here from South Fork, CO and Evansville, IN.
BORN: He was born on Wednesday, May 18, 1921, to Richard Cleveland and Effie (Osborne) Brown, at Evansville, IN.
PASSED AWAY: Richard passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Sherman, TX.
AGE:  96 years, 7 months and 20 days.
EDUCATION: He graduated  high school in Evansville, IN
OCCUPATION: Richard was a welder in pipeline and utilities construction.
MILITARY: Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII as an automobile mechanic while station in the Philippines. Richard received the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal.
MARRIED: He married Zelma Brown and later married  Lottie (Shores) in 1995 in Creed Colorado.
CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Richard was of the Protestant Faith. He was a 33rd Degree Mason, member of the Shriners and member of VFW. Richard was also member of Sand Dunes Shriner Club in Alamosa, CO. He loved to fish, bird hunt and watching sports.

WIFE:  Lottie Brown of the home in Atoka, OK.
STEPDAUGHTER: Vicki Gonzales and husband Augie of Laughlin, NV.
NEPHEWS:  Bruce Usher and wife Kim of Atoka, OK
Craig Shores of Amarillo, TX
Bruce Shores of  Greenville, TX
NIECES:  Hazel Lane of Atoka, OK
Loretta Pavell of Abilene, TX
Wanda Langby and husband Bobby of Mobile, AL
Marge Dixon of Vanita, OK
Along with other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
