OBITUARY NAME: Richard Luther Woods age 80, a longtime Caney area resident. BORN: He was born on September 19, 1930, to Charles and Martha (Lovett) Woods, at Muncy, In. PASSED AWAY: Richard passed away on February 23, 2011 at his home in Caney, Ok. AGE 80 YEARS 5 MONTHS AND 14 DAYS EDUCATION: He attended school at Muncy, In. OCCUPATION: Richard was a truck driver. MILITARY: He served in the Army during WWII And Korea. MARRIED: Richard married Lois (Willis) on March 17, 1979, at Hugo, Ok. CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES, AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: He was of the Baptist faith. After retiring from truck driving he owned and operated a lawn service in the Tulsa area for 10 years. He was a Shriner and drove mini cars for years in area parades and other Shriner functions. SURVIVED BY WIFE: Lois Woods of the home in Caney, Ok. CHILDREN: Tony Nichols and wife Debby of San Antonio, Tx. James Nichols and wife Crystal of Atoka, Ok. Teresa Williams and husband Willy of Wagoner, Ok. Robert Nichols and wife Karrie of Atoka, Ok. Ann Woods of Austin, Tx. BROTHERS: Donald Woods of Dallas, Tx. Jerry Woods of Dallas, Tx. Jack Woods of Dallas, Tx. GRANDCHILDREN: 24 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren BROTHER-IN-LAW: Dolan Willis and wife Glenda of Caney, Ok. SISTER-IN-LAW: Joyce Cullum of Dallas, Tx. Along with numerous nieces, nephew and other relatives and friends.
