Ricky "Smitty" Nelson Smith, age 61, a Boswell, OK resident, formerly of Atoka, OK, was born on Tuesday, September 8, 1959, to Howard and Delores (Wilkey) Smith, at Centralia, IL. Smitty passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020 at Denison, TX. He attended Centralia High School. Smitty was a truck driver for the oil field. He has been with Kim Denton -Smith for 40 years. Smitty was of the christian faith. He loved driving his truck, working on his jeep and most of all spending time with the grandchildren.
Smitty is survived by his wife, Kim Denton-Smith of the home in Boswell, OK; daughters, Jessica Powell and husband Gary of Tushka, OK, Amber Barbee and husbandTommy of Boswell, OK, Ashley Denton and fiancé Cody Reynolds of Wagoner, OK; son, Cory Denton of Romance, AR; grandchildren, Nevaeh Merkel, Makynna Merkel of Tushka, OK, Kaylen Barbee, Kaidence Walker, Braiden Barbee, Brinson Barnett, Lee Barbee, Bentley Barnett, Kynleigh Barnett, Lexie Barbee, Laney Barbee, Trigger Johnson, all of Boswell, OK, Haven Denton, Bryxxon Wigington, of Romance, AR, Noah Reynolds of Wagoner, OK; brothers and sisters, Vickie Campbell of Joliet, IL, Sharon Martin of Florida, Linda Rider of Harrisburg, IL, Mike Smith, Lola Smith, David Smith, William Smith, Robert Smith, all of Centralia, IL; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Smitty was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Delores (Wilkey) Smith; grandson, Teagan Coy Merkel.
