Rita Faye (Mason) Malmskog, age 87, a Lawton, OK resident, formerly a longtime Atoka County resident, was born on Friday, March 15, 1935, to Joe and Ollie (Shaw) Mason, at Stringtown, OK. Rita passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Lawton, OK. She attended Stringtown High School. Rita was a waitress for many years at El Adobe and other restaurants in town. She married Gene Malmskog. Rita was of the baptist faith. She enjoyed driving around sight seeing, antiquing, going to the casinos, going out to eat and visiting with family and friends.
Rita is survived by her husband, Gene Malmskog of Akeley, MN; son, Don McKim of Gillette, WY; cousins and special friends, Dennis and Erika Moore of Lawton, OK; step daughter, Tammy Stacey of Akeley, MN; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Ollie (Shaw) Mason; son, Ronald McKim; brothers, Richard Mason, Bob Mason.
