Robert Lee Bays, age 45, a Versailles, IN resident for the past 20 years was born on Thursday, January 24, 1974, to Lankford and Betty Fay (Blackwood) Bays, at Coalgate, OK.
Robert passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at Mason, OH. He attended Clayton and Atoka High Schools. Robert was a cross country truck driver. Robert was of the Baptist faith. He loved hunting, fishing, and dirt track racing.
Robert is survived by his children, Abigail Bays of Versailles, IN, Travis Bays of Versailles, IN; mother, Betty Cole of Lone Grove, OK; brother, Pat Bays of Coalgate, OK; mother of his children, Christie of Versailles, IN; uncle, Bobby and wife Ethel Blackwood of Ardmore, OK; step sister, Rachael Marris Cole of Coalgate, OK; nephews, Dakota & Tyler Pommerening of Chickasha, OK; niece, A.J. Pommerening of Chickasha, OK; along with other relatives and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Lankford Bays; brother, Shannon Bays; uncle, Ozie Blackwood, aunt, Flossie Mae Cooksey; step dad, Jimmy Cole; maternal grandparents,  Odie & Theah Blackwood; paternal grandparents, Mary & Lankford Bays.
