Obituary Robert Lee "Booner" Benefield, age 94, an Atoka, OK resident, was born on Tuesday, February 18, 1919, to Thomas and Mary Jane (Westbrook) Benefield, at Buckholt, OK. Booner passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013 at Coalgate, OK. He attended Buckholt and Atoka Schools. Booner was a barber. He married Elwanda (Smith) in 1939; she preceded him in death in May of 1971. Booner then married Juanita (Holland) Ridgeway on June 13, 1978 in Durant, OK. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, using his metal detector, and spending time with his family. Booner is survived by his wife, Juanita Benefield of the home in Atoka, OK.; children, Norma Hudelson and husband Ed of Pryor, OK., Don Benefield and wife Glenda of Ada, OK., Nelda Fine and husband Frank of Coweta, OK.; step-children, Eva Herrerias of Santa Rosa, CA., Paula Ljungkull and husband Joel of Denison, TX., Debbie Hosford and husband Mike of Denison, TX., Patty Caywood and husband John of Tushka, OK.; grandchildren, Jerri Wood and husband John, Jimmy Weatherford and wife Angie, Bobby Weatherford and wife Anna, Kacy Manning and husband Greg, Ryan Benefield, Laura Ritchie and husband Shane, Leslie Benefield, Kara Fleege and husband Jon, Stacy Simmons and husband Allen, Aaron Hosford and wife Susan, Austin Hosford, Blake Hosford and wife Ashley, Casey Austin Montray and wife Cassandra, Brandi Bundy and husband Darin, Eva Francis & husband Billy.; 16 great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
