OBITUARY NAME: Robert "Bob" Winston Brown age 83, a longtime Atoka area resident. BORN: Bob was born June 25, 1926 to Emmett C. and Grace E. (Jordan) Brown at Shirley, AR. PASSED AWAY: He passed away May 30, 2010 at MCSO, Durant, OK. AGE 83 YEARS MONTHS AND DAYS MARRIED: Bob married Emogene Mattison Neeld on November 23, 1970 in Las Vegas, NV. OCCUPATION: He served his country in WWII in the U.S. Marine Corps. in the South Pacific area March 1944 to Sept. 1946. Then Bob and Jeannie moved to Atoka, OK. on November 6, 1971, where he operated Brown's TV and Radio Shack in Atoka from 1971 to 1984 when he closed his store due to health reasons. CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES, AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Bob was an avid gold prospector and hunter of buried treasure all of his life. He was a very devout Christian of the Pentecostal faith. SURVIVED BY: WIFE: Emogene (Jeannie) Brown of Southern Point Living Center, Colbert, OK. CHILDREN: Beverly and husband George Parrett of Trabuca Canyon, CA., Pamela and husband Jack Guthrie of Bakersfield, CA. GRANDCHILDREN: Robert and Michael Parrett, Sarah and Jacob Miller 5 great grandchildren all of CA. SIBLINGS: Faye Olsen of Atoka, OK. Charles Brown and wife Bernadine of Scottsdale, AZ.
