Robert Anthony Grimes, age 57, a longtime Atoka, OK resident, was born on Friday, January 13, 1967, to Jerry Lee and Scottie Lee (McCullough) Grimes in Dallas, TX. Robert passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Denison, TX. He attended West Mesquite High School in Texas.

Robert was an owner/operator for many years and worked in the family moving business from an early age. He married Anna Elizabeth (Satterfield) on September 12, 1992, at Bentley, OK. They enjoyed over 32 years together before his passing.

Robert attended Lane Baptist Church. He enjoyed trucking, working on his trucks and anything else that had a motor. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson, cooking, and smoking meats for his family, neighbors, and friends. A family man, he raised many kids and was full of life. He enjoyed sawmilling, woodworking, and loved being with his family.

Robert is survived by his wife, Anna Elizabeth Grimes, of the home in Atoka, OK; his children, Jermey Satterfield and wife Kayla of Farmersville, TX, Shanta Satterfield of Atoka, OK, Brian Grimes of Atoka, OK, Shiloh Satterfield and partner Claire of McKinney, TX, Cameron Satterfield and fiancée Autume of McCurtain, OK, and Dakota Satterfield of Atoka, OK; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his sister, Cindy Reeves and husband Mark of Kemp, TX; in-laws, Glenda Cockrill and Wayne Stanley of Antlers, OK, Juanita Satterfield of Antlers, OK, Gary Satterfield of Antlers, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear and loved friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Lee and Scottie Lee (McCullough) Grimes; his nephew, Chris Armstrong; and grandparents, Chubby McCullough and wife Willene, and Evelyn Garner.
