Robert Glenn Gudgel, age 88, a longtime Boggy Depot, OK resident. He was born on Tuesday, July 7, 1936, to Thomas Allen and Emma Christine (Price) Gudgel, at Mobeetie, TX. Robert passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Denison, TX. He attended Boggy Depot Grade School and graduated from Coleman High School. Robert was a Inspector for General Motors for many years. Robert proudly served his country in The United States Army. He married Phyllis Rae (Seybert) on Saturday, May 18th, 1957 in Grand Prairie, TX. They celebrated over 37 years of marriage before her passing on December 11, 1994. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting knives and guns, being outdoors, and loved spending time with family and friends.
Robert is survived by his son, Mike Gudgel and wife Codi of Denison, TX; granddaughters, Katy Parker and husband Tristan of Waxahachie, TX, Hanna Gudgel of Denison, TX; sister, Debbie Gudgel Gibson and husband Bud of Boggy Depot, OK; brother, Will Gudgel of Atoka, OK; sister in law, Cleta Gudgel of Durant, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends that will dearly miss him.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Allen and Emma Christine (Price) Gudgel; wife, Phyllis Rae Gudgel; brothers, James Gudgel, Johnnie Gudgel.
