OBITUARY

NAME: Roger Dale Massey, age 66

BORN: He was born on February 12, 1950, to Roy and Betty Jean (Cross) Massey, at Ada, OK. He was the oldest of five children. When he was a young teenager, he moved to Centrahoma, OK to live with his grandparents, Edgar and Stella Cross. He worked with "Pap" & "Granny" on the farm until he graduated from Tupelo High School in 1968.

PASSED AWAY: Roger passed away on July 14, 2016 at Tupelo, OK.

AGE:  66 years, 5 months and 2 days.

EDUCATION: He graduated Tupleo High School in 1968

OCCUPATION: Roger was an Oilfield Consultant, he worked in the oilfield for more than 40 years. He was passionate about the oilfield and never thought of it as a job, but more of a hobby. After retiring from the oilfield, he moved home to Oklahoma to raise cattle.

MILITARY: In 1970, Roger enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. His service time ended in 1971, due to injury. Commendations included; Honorable discharge, National Defense Service Medal, Purple Heart, Vietnamese Campaign Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal with 1 star and Combat Action Ribbon.

MARRIED: Roger married Angela (Latiolais) on April 25, 1992 at Las Vegas, NV

Roger requested to be buried near his family at the Centrahoma Cemetery. The family would especially like to thank the staff of Stephenson Cancer Center in Oklahoma City, OK for their constant, attentive treatment; and the Brown's Funeral Service, for making the arrangements.

DAUGHTER:  Sara Massey of Groves, TX

SON:  Eddie Massey of El Reno, OK

MOTHER:  Betty Massey of Centrahoma, OK

SISTERS:  Marsha Gibbany of Tulsa, OK

Patti Massey of Tulsa, OK

Rhonda Smith & Ronald Chisholm of Centrahoma, OK

Along with numerous nieces and nephews.
