OBITUARY NAME: Ronald Eugene "Ronnie" Dodson, age 73, a longtime Lane, OK resident. BORN: He was born on Monday, September 29, 1941, to Eugene Carson and Nannie Lou (Moore) Dodson, at Durant, OK. PASSED AWAY: Ronnie passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Denison, TX. AGE: 73 years, 11 months and 18 days. EDUCATION: He attended Ruidoso High School in New Mexico and received a Bachelor's Degree from SOSU in Durant, OK. OCCUPATION: Ronnie was a teacher, worked for the tax assessor's office and was also a greeter at Wal-Mart. MILITARY: Ronnie proudly served his country in The Army during Desert Storm. MARRIED: He married Theda Ellen (Fuller) on July 1,1967 in Durant, OK. They had 48 wonderful years together. CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Ronnie was a longtime member of Harmony Baptist Church, and member of choir. He enjoyed riding 4-wheelers, playing guitar and spending time with grandchildren. He was a master mason., lifetime member DAV, past commander of VFW, and a member of American Legion. Ronnie retired from the 45th Infantry and U.S. Army Reserve.
