Ronald Lee Harner a longtime Madill/Kingston area resident passed away Friday, May 8, 2009 at the Marshall County Medical Center in Madill. Ronald was born July 23, 1957 in Artiesia, California to Melvin Cleo and Myrtle Lee (Allen) Harner. He attended school in Dallas, TX and Kingston, OK. Ronald married Savina Mae Buckaloo on February 2, 1976 at Lost Acres in Marshall County. He was an auto paint and body man and worked for Texoma Utility in Durant. Ronald was a member of the New Beginnings Church. He was also an ordained Pentecostal Minister. He had many hobbies including riding motorcycles and taking his kids and grandkids riding. He loved fishing and scuba diving. Ronald is survived by his wife, Savina of the home; two daughters, Ronda Barthel and husband Andrew of Madill, Savina Lee Stephens and husband Jimmie Don of Kingston; Ten grandchildren, Angel, Jamie, Autumn, Monica, Brianna and Faith Stephens and Elizabeth, Andrew, Emily and Allie Barthel; step father, Pete Cobb of Kingston; step mother, Roselan Harner of Madill; sisters, Rebecca Cobb of Kingston and Rachael Cobb and husband Ray of Calera; brothers, Donald Harner and wife Carol of Kingston, Eddie Cobb and fiancé Nancy of Kingston; step sisters, Louise Hall and husband Ron of Dallas, Dollie Bazor and husband Bruce of Dallas, Robbie Phillips and husband Robert of Ravia, Sandra Tipton and husband Carl of Lawton. Along with numerous cousins, other relatives and many dear and loved friends. Ronald is preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Myrtle Harner and brother Joe Dean Harner. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, May 14, 2009, 2:00 PM at the New Beginnings Church with Bro. Travis Williams officiating. The pall bearers will be Shawn Mize, Joe Buckaloo, Robert Wilkerson, Dennis Phillips, William Watson, and Charles Mills. Honorary pall bearer is Joseph Harner. Interment will be at the Powell Cemetery.
