Ronald Dean 'Ronnie' Smith, age 61, a Bromide, OK resident, previously a Malakoff and Forney, TX resident, was born on Wednesday, July 25, 1962, to Dennis and Marlene Faye (Simpson) Smith, at Oak Cliff, TX. Ronnie passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Bromide, OK. He received an Associate's Degree. Ronnie was a Owner/ Operator of RDS Surveyors Co. in Forney, TX. He married Becky Smith on Saturday, October 30th, 1982 at Mabank, TX. Ronnie was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of Professional Land Surveyors. Ronnie loved his cattle after moving to Bromide, he loved coaching soccer, being a grandpa, hunting, fishing, working and doing surveys. He was an avid coin and gun collector, and was very up to date on world and domestic events and news.
He is survived by his mother, Marlene Faye Miller of Bromide, OK; wife, Becky Smith of the home in Bromide, OK; children, Patricia Henson and husband D'Wayne of Crandall, TX, Stephen Smith and wife Barbara of Forney, TX; favorite fur baby, Ghost, a Carolina breed; grandchildren, Noah Smith, Tristan Smith, Willow Smith, Cooper Henson, Cayson Henson; sister, Edith West and husband Alan of Lubbock, TX, Robin Smith of Dallas, TX; uncle, Mark Simpson of The Colony, TX; aunt, Dannette Simpson of Denton, TX; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dearly loved friends.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Alfred Smith; brother, Daniel Alfred Smith
