Roy Richard Clark, age 74, an Atoka, OK resident, was born on Saturday, May 6, 1939, to Richard and Lillie B. (Pierce) Clark, at Bandera, TX. Roy passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Atoka, OK. He graduated from high school from Kerrville, TX. in 1958. Roy proudly served his country in The United States Navy during Vietnam he retired after 20 years in service. He married Alta Katherine (Fortner) on December 26, 1959 in Pike Creek, TX., she preceded him in death in 2005. Roy later married Patricia Ann (Cox) Vanzandt on September 11, 2008 in Atoka, OK. He was a member of the Grace Fellowship Church in Atoka. Roy enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports especially football, and spending time with his friends. Roy is survived by his wife, Pat Clark of Atoka, OK.; children, Richard Morris Clark of TX., William Barton Clark and wife Heather of Aubrey, TX., Judith Kay Pharr and husband Ken of Farmers Branch, TX., Catherine Jeannette Hyde and husband Bill of Brownwood, TX.; step-children, Vickie Lynn Hendricks and husband Robert of Vancouver, WA., Donna Rae Merritt of Caddo, OK.; foster children, Carrie Roskowske of Bonham, TX., Paula McManus of Lake Orion, MI., Larry Lungren and wife Regina of Kennwicki, WA., Gary Blum of Vancouver, WA., Jeff Anderson and wife Nancy of Vancouver, WA.; 23 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and 1 more on the way; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lillie B.
