Obituary

Roy Taylor Jr., age 83, a longtime Wilson Community  resident  was born on Wednesday, April 22, 1936, to Roy Sr. and Ida Mae (Barrick) Taylor, at Milburn, OK.  Roy passed away on Friday, April 10, 2020 at Durant, OK. He attended school in Wilson and graduated  from Wapanucka High School. Roy was a Logger and ran equipment for Weyerhouser  Hardwood Merchant. He married Wanda Jane (Bowers) in Ft. Worth, TX. They was happily married until her passing on May 4, 1986. He later married Cassie Haley until her passing in 2002. Roy was of the Baptist faith. He loved hunting, fishing, reading. Roy enjoyed and loved hanging out with his kids and grandkids.
Roy is survived by his children, Sheila Reeves and husband Johnny of Ft. Towson, OK, Sherry Wiest of Boggy Depot, OK, Bud Taylor and wife Sharlet of Boggy Depot, OK, Jerry Taylor of the home in Boggy Depot, OK; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Roy is preceded in death his parents, Roy Sr. and Ida Mae (Barrick) Taylor; wives, Wanda Jane Taylor & Cassie Larue Taylor; brother, Marvin Ray Taylor; granddaughter, Tammy Diane Reeves; great grandson, Keith Dewayne Taylor.
