Obituary Roy Sam Mattoon Parsons, age 74, an Atoka, OK resident, was born on Sunday, September 05, 1937, to Roy and Amy Lona (Bass) Parsons, in Porum, OK. Roy passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Atoka, OK. He attended Porum High School and received his GED while in the military. Roy was a Truck Driver, Escort Driver. Roy proudly served his country in The Air Force earning a Hq 3500 Main. & Sup. Fp. 58, an Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon and a Good Conduct Medal. He married Barbara Parsons on January 1, 1963 at Lubbock, Texas. Roy was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Atoka. He enjoyed working with Plastic Canvas.
