Royce E. Johnson, age 79, a longtime Wapanucka, OK resident, was born on Thursday, February 16, 1939, to John and Marion (Matlock) Johnson, at Ringold, OK.
Royce passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Atoka, OK. He attended high school in Bakersfield, CA.
Royce was a rancher. He married Sharon A. (Wilson) on Sunday, November 15th, 1987 at Las Vegas, NV. They have shared 31 wonderful years together. Royce enjoyed roping horses, hunting in Colorado and boating.
Royce is survived by his wife, Sharon A. Johnson of the home in Wapanucka, OK; daughter, Carmen Matkin of Wapanucka, OK; son, Michael E. Johnson of Coleman; granddaughter, Mya Johnson of Atoka, OK; great grandson, Grady Wayne Tomlinson of Atoka, OK; brother, Richard Johnson of Arkansas; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Royce is preceded in death by his parents, John and Marion (Matlock) Johnson; 4 brothers; 2 sisters.
