Ruby Pearl (Tabor) Laney, age 100, a long time Atoka, OK resident, was born on Saturday, December 13, 1919, to Daniel Franklin and Iva Ann (Willis) Tabor, at Whitt, TX. Ruby passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Atoka, OK. She graduated high school from Portles New Mexico
Ruby was in retail for many years. She married Walter David Laney on Sunday, May 5th, 1938 at Portales New Mexico. They celebrated 70 wonderful years of marriage before he passed in November of 2008. In her early years she was of the Church of Christ, but later years she attended Caney Pentecostal a few times. Ruby was also President of Pink Lady Aux at LDS Hospital in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She loved music and played the guitar, ukelin, and the mandolin. She enjoyed singing, embroidery, and crochet.
Ruby is survived by her daughter Phyllis Hahn and husband Floyd of Atoka, OK, Solil Woodward and husband Rick of Goose Creek, SC; son Walter David Laney Jr. and wife Elisabeth grandchilden; Deborah West and husband Jerry of Winslow, AZ Clinton Hahn and wife Toni of Edmond, OK
Brandon Otts and wife Wendy of Meridian, ID, Tyson Otts and wife Vanessa of Donalds, SC; great grandchildren,  Searra, Leia, Preston, CJ, Naomi, Ryker, Laney, Siris, Mason; great great grandchildren, Preslea, McKenna, Lynnlea; sister in law Imogene Aronson and husband Howard of Atoka, OK Along with numerous  nieces and nephews other relatives and friends
Ruby is preceded in death by her parents Daniel Franklin and Iva Ann (Willis) Tabor; husband Walter Laney Sr.; 7 brothers; 1 sister.
