Ruby Carrol Tomlinson

Ruby Carrol (Haddock) Tomlinson, age 72, an Atoka, OK resident was born on Thursday, November 19, 1953, to John and Henriellen (Roy) Haddock, in Plainview, TX. She passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 in Durant, OK.

Ruby attended Caddo School and later Tushka Public School. She married Rickey Joe Tomlinson on Saturday, February 26th, 1972 at Tushka, OK, then spent her life being a dedicated homemaker. She was the very best mama and nana. her kids, grandkids, and later her great grandkids were her whole world and she cherished each one of them. She loved flowers and her trees, Elvis and the Bee Gees. She enjoyed the occasional casino trip and visits with family and friends. She loved her horses and her cat Dracula "Drac". She was a private person and preferred staying at home and out of the public eye.

Ruby is survived by her husband of 54 and a half years Rickey Joe Tomlinson of the home; daughters Shelly Anteau and David of Durant, OK, Kimberly Howard and Luke of Caney, OK; son Shane Tomlinson and wife Tina of Tushka, OK; grandsons Chad Tomlinson and Siarra of the home, Justin Williams and Emily of Tushka, OK, Caleb Tomlinson of Tushka, OK, Sean Tomlinson and Klasey of Tushka, OK, Grady Tomlinson of Tushka, OK, JD Anteau of Caddo, OK, and John Anteau and Brittney of Caddo,OK; granddaughters Haley Boston of Durant, OK, Alexis Tomlinson of Atoka, OK, Lilly Howard of Caney, OK, Sarah Thacker and Brandon of Stringtown, OK, Taylor Richie of Caney, OK, Jody Toews and Nate of Caney, OK, and Brandi Miller and Brad of Caney, OK; great grandchildren Noah, Aubree, Collin, Isabella, Oliver, Ryatt, Oaklynn, Juniper, Ember, Dawson, and Blair; sisters Ruthie Atwood and Lynnie of Colbert, OK, Connie Lambert of Hopewell, OK; brother Ronnie Haddock and Sue of Kenefic, OK; brother-in-law James Tomlinson and Bunnie of Asher, OK; sisters-in-law Pat Ward of McAlester, OK Belinda Williams of Wilson, OK Julie Tomlinson of Asher, Ok Gracie Fergueson and Coy of Boswell, OK; her special kitty Drac; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many loved and dear friends.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents John and Henriellen (Roy) Haddock; father and mother in law Franklin and Madie Tomlinson; son Kevin Wayne Tomlinson; brothers Wesley Haddock,and Larry Haddock; bother-in-laws Danny Ward, Billy Lambert, Michael "Munk" Tomlinson and his wife Ann, Freddie Tomlinson, Robert Cochran and his wife Deneta; nephews Lynnie Shawn Atwood, Johnny Atwood, Rodney Ward.
