Ruel Micheal McDaniel, age 67, a Stillwater, OK resident, formerly a longtime Atoka County resident, was born on Tuesday, August 22, 1950, to Chub and Mahala (Daffin) McDaniel, at Atoka, OK. Ruel passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018 at Oklahoma City, OK. He attended Harmony Grade School, graduated from Atoka High School and then attended SOSU College. Ruel was a Airline Mechanic. Ruel proudly served his country in The Air Force during the Vietnam War. He married Vicki (Lee) on October 28th at Stillwater, OK. Ruel enjoyed making handmade knives, building computers, working on airplanes, cars and tractors. He could work on anything that would run.
Ruel is survived by his wife, Vicki McDaniel of the home in Stillwater, OK; daughters, Melissa Denton and husband Mikey of Owasso, OK, Valerie Phillips and husband Cody of Stillwater, OK; siblings, Alvanell Morris and husband Johnny of Atoka, OK, Chock McDaniel and wife Veronica of Atoka, OK , Lola Irion and husband Bill of Pottsboro, TX, Phil McDaniel and wife Joyce of Lane, OK; grandchildren,  Mitchell Wilfong of Owasso, OK, Deryn Wilfong of Owasso, OK, Caden Pogue of Stillwater, OK, Gabe Phillips of Stillwater, OK, Kennedi Pogue of Stillwater, OK, Zachary Finch "USAF" of Atoka, OK, Mason Finch of Brea, CA; mother, Mahala McDaniel of Atoka, OK; along with other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Ruel is preceded in death by his father, Chub McDaniel; niece, Rona Cavender; step son, Staff Sgt. Jamey D. Finch; children's mother, Jan McDaniel.
