Obituary Russell Earl Courtney, age 72, an Atoka, OK resident, was born on Sunday, March 03, 1940, to Eugene and Margaret (Silvers) Courtney, at Atoka, OK. Russell passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Atoka, OK. He graduated from Atoka High School in 1958. Russell was a Building Contractor. He married Nina Evelyn Fitzgerald on April 4, 1958 at Antlers, OK. Russell was affiliated with New Zion Methodist Church in Atoka, OK. He enjoyed visiting with people and any activity that involved spending time with his family. Russell is survived by his children, Dian Hogan and husband Kenny of Lane, OK., Donalda Manion of Tushka, OK., Dennis Courtney and wife Rhonda of Tushka, OK., Deneice Hill and Jim Farris of Tushka, OK.; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Kenneth Courtney and wife Joy of Wichita, KS., Windell Courtney of Sulphur, OK., Bobby Joe Courtney of Atoka, OK., Margadell Taylor of Atoka, OK.; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
