Ruth Lee (McClendon) Hembree, age 89, a long time Farris, OK resident, was born on Wednesday, September 28, 1932, to Harry Hillard and Goldie Mulberry (Hicks) McClendon, at Crystal, OK. Ruth passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Farris, OK. She attended High School. Ruth was a Seamstress for Blue Bell. She married Otto Samuel Hembree on Tuesday, July 26th, 1949 at Paris, Texas. They were married for 47 wonderful years before Otto's passing in 1996. Ruth was a member of Farris Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, junking, sewing, spending time with her family and she loved going out to check on her cows. Ruth is survived by her children, Sam Hembree and wife Rose of Antlers, OK, Barbara Goff and husband Mike of Farris, OK, Mike Hembree of Farris, OK; grandchildren, Kelly Langley and Eric House of Antlers, OK, Kevin Hembree and wife Melissa of Antlers, OK, Kristi Goff of Farris, OK, Tim Goff of Farris, OK, Cody Hembree and wife Melissa of Antlers, OK, Tory Hembree and wife Nancy of Farris, OK, Cory Hembree and Sylvia of Farris, OK; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; siblings, Kenneth McClendon and wife Lois of Milwaukee, WI, Glen McClendon and wife Joan of Atoka, OK, Larry McClendon of McAlester , OK, Goldie McClendon of McAlester, OK, Linda Fendley and husband Ron of Paris, TX; sisters-in-law, Margaret McClendon of Farris, OK, Janice McClendon of Euless, TX; special friends, Roberta Wilson of Crystal, OK, Ramona Davis of Crystal, OK, Connie Smith of Farris, OK, Dorothy Flowers of Farris, OK; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Samuel Hembree; parents, Harry Hillard and Goldie Mulberry (Hicks) McClendon; brothers, Frances McClendon, Randall McClendon and wife Jesse, Bill McClendon; sisters, Annabell Nanney and husband Earl, Merlene Dolchok and husband Mack
