OBITUARY Sam Franklin Rhodes, age 79, a Caney, OK resident was born on Monday, February 05, 1934, to Melvin and Francis (Hicks) Rhodes, in Hopewell, OK. Sam passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013 in Durant, OK. He attended Hopewell schools. Sam was a watermelon farmer. He married Ruby Aline (Childers) on January 19, 1957 in Durant, OK. Sam was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed fishing, country music, horse trading and spending time with his grandchildren.
